Although the team hasn't won any NBA championships (yet), they've played in the finals twice 1976 and 1993. More recently, the Suns took a 2-0 lead in the championship series against the Houston Rockets. However, they eventually lost the series in a heartbreaking 4-3 outcome.

Fewer of today's fans are probably familiar with the 1975-1976 Finals, which the Suns also played in. The Suns finished the regular season with a 42-40 record.
